We believe that every child should be able to participate in youth sports and other activities and that by participating they will gain valuable skills and confidence that will carry with them through adulthood. The Pay to Play Initiative Scholarship was developed to provide funding to cover youth activity fees and equipment for families facing financial hardship. Families are asked to pay what they can afford, and the remainder may be provided. Funds apply to activity fees, equipment, and other related needs.

Limited funding is available to help cover youth activity fees and equipment for those families facing financial challenges. Youth must reside within Willmar Public School District. The scholarship amount is half of the participation fee (not to exceed $250 per child). In addition, the amount varies depending on the availability of funds.

Miles 4 Mentors is proud to offer scholarships to families with children in kindergarten through grade 12. The Pay to Play Initiative Scholarship has provided funding for swimming, karate, dance lessons, football camp, soccer, and more. Awards have covered activity fees, sports equipment, shoes, and other needs. Our goal is to help children get what they need to improve their success throughout their lives.
